Leo Hoogenboom
Growing up on a small Dutch island where his family operated a marine and boating business, Leo grew accustomed to living on the water at an early age. His first SCUBA experience came when he was 8 years old, and his path to adulthood was paved with MX racing, sailing, rock climbing and shipbuilding. Over the years, however, diving remained his main passion. Eventually, he bade the family business farewell and chose to follow his passion fulltime.
His experience in the dive industry took him from the Netherlands to Malta and, eventually, Bonaire. As he taught technical divers and free-divers around the world, Leo also developed an interest in underwater photography.
This led him to create BonPhoto, where his team of photo experts assists photo and video enthusiasts on Bonaire.
